Join our summer campaign to bring Justice to
    the Niger Delta Women

The Justice for Niger Delta Women Project is a non-profit undertaking to empower the courageous women of Nigeria’s oil producing region by documenting their important human rights stories for distribution to worldwide media, the American press, the socially responsible investment community and the American consumer.

CupCakes The Cupcake Campaign is a grassroots program fostering leadership, resourcefulness, entrepreneurship and activism.

Designed to provide a focus for young people interested in making the world a better place, this Youth Leadership Action educates partic-ipants about violence against women, human rights, environmental rights, social justice and corporate responsibility.

The Niger Delta region is an example of the confluence of all these important issues and provides fertile ground for understanding their relationship o a local level and to our global community.

The goals of The Cupcake Campaign are to bring young people (12-17) together to learn about the importance of the Niger Delta and the actions women there are taking to save their communities, and how young people in Santa Barbara can participate in a vision for a cleaner global environment and to work in solidarity with Niger Delta women for peace and justice.

Proceeds from the Cupcake Campaign go towards completion funds for the film, The Naked Option: A Last Resort, due out in October, 2008; and to the Justice for Niger Delta Women Action Campaign.

Teenagers, baking and decorating organic cupcakes for sale at local farmers markets, provides leadership and educational opportunities as they interact with the community.

Proceeds go towards the JUSTICE FOR NIGER DELTA WOMEN PROJECT; educating the community about the importance of the Niger Delta to their future, educating future women leaders in activism.
